Library Circle Time Videos

March 13th, 2020 was our last day of school for in person learning. After a week of preparation, we went online to distance learning. One by one the videos below were shared on Monday mornings to start the social emotional circle time we were used to having face to face in library class.

Many parents and students have told me the videos helped them. Here is an example of a sweet note I received from a parent.

"You have helped us survive Distance Learning this year, which was no easy feat! I say “us” because your videos helped to ease the tension and anxiety we were all feeling as a result of the pandemic.  You spoke to the truth of what everyone was feeling, parents and children alike. You  also injected just the right dose of humor and positivity that let us know we can make it through." J. H.

I decided to share the videos here partly to create a timeline of our response to the pandemic for us to look back on, and also in case any families want to revisit the videos in the future.

Fun Friday videos

The videos below were created with the help of the Wyman faculty to share with the students each Friday. We tried to promote community and give the students something to smile about each week.
